Helping businesses grow through COVID-19

In a few weeks' time, it will mark one year since the start of coronavirus pandemic that took a hold of the world, transforming  our day-to-day working lives and creating a new "normal".
The UK went into a nationwide lockdown from 23rd March 2020, encouraging people to stay home and stay safe. This meant that many businesses had to adjust to these new set of rules whilst continuing to run “business as usual”.
In a time of uncertainty for all, with many people working from home filled with video calls, email threads and instant messaging, the world was adapting to the change and embracing remote working.

Adjusting to remote working

As a software business that was already predominately remote, we found the transition relatively seamless, but there were still a few hurdles to overcome in the wake of the pandemic.
“The most important aspect was making sure all of our employees did feel comfortable working at home and had what they needed. Not just equipment, but emotional support, as mental health and our team's wellbeing is important to us

“Our biggest challenge was from a customer perspective. Many of those organisations were not used to working remotely, so setting up new ways of communicating and managing projects was essential for us to continue to deliver and support our clients.”
Stuart Cripps-Schnoor, Director at Brand iQ

Working with our clients

Although change isn’t always welcomed, it can provide a positive impact in some cases. We have helped our clients whilst working from home to allow them to continue supporting their own customers during this difficult time.

Our solution has been implemented for many companies including KEP Print Group. Based in Tamworth, KEP is a full-service commercial printer who specialise in large format printing, digital and litho printing, graphic design, fulfilment and more.

They have recently invested in our software as it gives their customers access to files, such as marketing assets so that they can continue producing high-quality marketing materials throughout the various lockdowns.

Implementing the Brand iQ software within their workflow has allowed companies, like KEP, to transform them into a complete end-to-end solution enabling them to grow their client bases.
“The interest from print companies and branding agencies is running at an all-time high right now, driven by the pandemic and the new normal

“When you have employees working remotely, your company’s brand guidelines and marketing assets are always up-to-date and all in one place, making even complex rebranding simple and straightforward.”  Jamie Booth, Director at Brand iQ

Linnaeus Group: an essential service during unprecedented times

A handful of essential services were able to stay open during the nationwide lockdown, including veterinary practices.  Linnaeus Group partner with different animal practices across the UK, including small animal, farm and equine.
From the beginning of the pandemic back in March last year, the use of the Brand iQ solution was crucial to help keep the practices running under the evolving set of government guidelines.
Protecting not only the public but members of staff throughout vet practices across the country was vital to Linnaeus. From PPE screens and floor stickers to posters and signage, we were on hand to help Linnaeus stick to the latest government’s guidelines, whilst providing essential care for the nation’s pets.
We were able to mass distribute items to all of the practices and upload them to Linnaeus’ online portal so that any practice could order more as and when they were needed.
“The portal has really helped the marketing team at Linnaeus, because it took out the bottleneck of their design team sending out assets to individual practices

“We also created some bespoke items, such as protective screens that would fit around the reception desks and the layout of the practices.” Dean Bliss, Account Director.
Our cloud-based solution has enabled members of Linnaeus Group to access the portal no matter where their work environment is. It has allowed the practices follow the government's advice to keep their staff and pet owners safe. As well as this, they are able to continue providing top-quality care for your furry animals, even throughout the most difficult of times.

Reflection and moving forward

It’s no doubt that COVID-19 has had a devastating effect on a large number of businesses and the economy, however, the continued commitment from our dedicated staff and loyalty of our customers has helped to ease the process and give us a bright future.
“It’s given us time to reflect on our business, what we are good at and where we should focus, it’s made us drive change and process within the business and ultimately, it’s made us think about where we want to be and who we are as a company

“As a business, we feel positive moving into 2021 and I generally believe we are stronger as a team than ever before. It’s my belief that as COVID-19 becomes more controlled we will continue to grow rapidly and evolve as a business.”  says Stuart.
